Lalo Cortés
Studio 14
Originally from Cuernavaca, where he was surrounded by the inspiring community of internationally renowned
artists that for decades gathered in that city, Lalo was further stimulated by the vibrant arts scene of Mexico City, where
he lived for more than 20 years.
From his country’s capital, Lalo moved to Puerto Vallarta in 2016 seeking his dream of becoming a painter. It was in this beautiful coastal city that he was mentored by artist Douglas Simonson, who helped him to achieve his dream.
Often moved by the unconditional affection of animals, the influence of talented movie stars, and the deep roots
of the indigenous of Latin America, Lalo portrays images that convey empathy, beauty, and solidarity.
Always open to new adventures and horizons, Lalo is excited about being a part of the vivacious Qulture Community.
